Makynna's Season

DHS Keeper Position

Makynna's Soccer Team had a good year of solid playing.  They have 1 more game to go but for now their record is 6-3.   Makynna had 4 of those games as shut outs..which means nobody scored on her.  Makynna is playing on the Junior Varsity Team but had the Varsity coach had his way she'd have been playing with them (long story..too boring to go into here).  However, Makynna likes playing JV better....she says "not so much pressure and she can play her best and just have fun".
Thankfully, she hasn't had any serious injuries this year (got knocked out last year) and the weather hasn't pelted us with hurricane rain&wind like other seasons.  I've tried to include some "action" shots but its tough to get good ones...for some reason they frown on mother's going onto the field during games. LOL  I did sweet talk one ref into letting me stand behind the goal during a game (those are all  the pictures framed in blue netting but its better than nothing I suppose!)  We LOVE to watch her play...even if it does give me a stroke every time she charges a forward...or dives for a ball...or rolls on the ground, etc, ect, ECT!

The team always jogs across the field after every game. Why?  I don't know...tradition I guess

 

Makynna with their Coach Julie Agee.  She played soccer in college.  Her husband, Danny, coaches the Varsity girls and he played soccer professionally.
