Its been several months since I've updated this blog......sorry about that! We've had a lot going on here and I kept procrastinating on posting stuff thinking I'd get to it sooner or later...well, its now "later" and my hole kept getting deeper and deeper! I finally decided to just post everything in one blog, with small snippets of some of the major events, rather than to try and catch up totally.
So this posting contains Dan's birthday, Makynna's 16th birthday and some odds and ends. I'll leave any explaining to the pictures and brief comments below them.

| Our good friends A.J. and Jayasheela invited us over for an authentic Indian dinner. They are from the town Gunter, in western India, where its the worlds capital for hot pepper production. We had a good time eating a very delicious meal (spiced down for us wimpy Americans) and visiting with them and our other friends, Mark & Cheryl. |

| Their 3 yr old son Saathvak...A super cutie! I'm trying to arrange a marriage between him & Makynna but its not going well. She's too concerned about age differences for some reason. |

| Makynna celebrated her 16th birthday on March 25th. She isn't one to enjoy large crowds with big celebrations so we divided her special occasion into several 'events'. It started with dinner with our good friends, Jack & Mary, at her favorite Chinese restaurant. Followed by cake & reading special love letters friends & family sent to her. Later that week, Justyna & I took her and 4 other friends to the coast for pizza, movie and beach-walking. |

| Our friends, Tina & Geoff, plotted with us to 'get' Makynna on her birthday. They texted me when they were close to our house and I sent Makynna on a bogus errand outside to be able to lock her out of the house. Geoff screeched into the driveway and Tina jumped out with cans of whipped cream and the war was on! I'm not sure who 'got' who tho? |

| Dan has always made the birthday cakes for everyone's birthday (sometimes even his OWN cake) and even when the girls were little they didn't want fancy store bought cakes. DADDY'S was the "Best-est"! They really are yummy..mmm! |

| The weather looks so mild in this photo but NO WAY. Justyna and I sat in the car, entertaining ourselves by watching seagulls get blown sideways and smacked into our vehicle, while the rest of them braved 40 mph winds to beach stroll and goof off. They were NUTS to go onto the beach in that rain and wind! They had a good time messing around and watching sea lions play in the rough surf tho. |
